Big Brother Nigeria
DAY 91/91
Interview - Francisca

2006/06/06 11:00:00 AM
Francisca is the dancing, singing, laughing, loving Housemate that had people on the edge of their seats the whole 91 days. People's opinions were varied and divided about the 22 year old student, but one thing everybody agreed on was that Baby Franca (as the fans called her) was certainly one entertaining Housemate.

Anikori: Has your strategy, if any, worked in the House?
Francisca: Well, I think that I didn’t go with a strategy, I wanted people to appreciate me, I did my best, I left the rest to God, it was just me, with a clear head.

Ngwenyama: How's the public treating you after the eviction?
Francisca:Um, well, people won’t treat you the way you have been your life, you are now a superstar, everybody knows you. Actually, I heard that I have fans but I haven’t seen anyone yet (I have been in a hotel room for the last two days). I haven’t signed any autographs yet.

Alayerogun: Would you say you were a victim of the love triangle
Francisca Yeah, definitely, I was just a victim, that’s all.

Gina Can you give me one good reason why you think you lost out to Katung?
Francisca:Um, I think I lost to Katung, there is no reason, I think that people thought he deserved to win. I am not a loser though, we are all winners. It is ok that I didn’t get the money.

Nashon: You were called Baby Franca, and a lot of people felt that aspects of your personality were immature. How do you respond to this?
Francisca:I would say that I will not act more than my age, I am 22. There are lots of things I did, but I would not say I was immature, I did what I had to so, I would not say it was immature, it doesn’t matter what people say, people will always try to break you down. It matters how you feel.

Tayo: Give us the Ebuka lowdown, what exactly is up, where is it going, etc
Francisca Ebuka and I were very good friends in the House, I expected the whole Helen and Ebuka thing. He is my friend. Girls’ dreams are just like a candle, whatever happened has happened, Ebuka is my friend and I will just keep it as that. [What about what you said at the Eviction Show?] Well, I think it is better if we were to see what would happen, I don’t want to say anything and contradict myself…but what I said remains the same.

ooshin What were your best and worst moments in the House?
Francisca:Best moments: When I met the very top celebrities, people I never thought of meeting: Jay Jay Okocha, and the others; and the relationships I had with people. Some stuff in the House was very painful, but I am grateful to meet Housemates, be a part of their life, etc.
Wosrt moments: That was when I was being taken for granted, people were trying to pull a fast one on me, it weighed me down emotionally and psychologically.

Phumla: Did you use your dancing and singing as part of a strategy?
Francisca:I wouldn’t say it was a strategy, I love singing and dancing, I wouldn’t say it was like that, but if it was something that entertained people then I am grateful. I hope I can take it to another level.

Noms:What do you think about Your Housemates’ strong fan bases now that you are out of the House?
Francisca: Well I think everybody has changed, everybody tries to do their own thing, be their own boss. In the house we always talked about doing things together, but now everybody wants to be their own boss. I don’t think it is necessary; it is important not to have stars in our heads. I have people in the outside world to keep me closer.

Omorosa:What happens next now that you are out of the House? What door(s) has the Big Brother experience opened to/for you?
FranciscaFor now I haven’t heard anything, I hope something happens. I need to start making cash, working, I have to finish up with school. I haven’t heard anything.

nicci24 When you were in the House did you feel you were untouchable? At some points you seemed like you expected to win...were you surprised when you didn’t?
FranciscaI wasn’t surprised, I was disappointed. Being in the House was a wonderful privilege, I made it to the final round after being nominated 5 times, that is come big thing for me. I didn’t lose whatsoever.

Femi:What is the most important lesson you learned in the House?
Francisca:Never trust people. Look, let me put it this way…people pretend to you and you never can tell. I came into the House with an open heart and people gave me a black heart. Never trust people. There are some lessons you have to take, and just shake it out. I am facing it.

Deedee:Who was your most/least favourite Housemate?
Francisca:I think that my favourite would be Joe, he was a very smart person, he is very quiet, he observed a lot, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t express himself. It is a tricky question….um…the least for me would be Helen, for because of certain things she did in the House. I expected more, I didn’t think it would turn out that way, she is not trustworthy. Yeah, we were close in the House, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

jenjen3Tell us about Aunty Pat?
FranciscaAunty Pat? She is a wonderful person, she is someone I really respect a lot, a lot of the comments [that she said at the Eviction Show] really stayed with me, made sense, made me strong and bold, I give her big respect, all the Housemates say the same… Aunty Pat is a really highly respected person.

Do you have anything to say to your fans?
Francisca:I want to say a big thank you for the love, care and attention, though I couldn’t see you cause I was having a very rough time in the House, I love you guys, I would love to come to your countries and meet you. No matter what people say, keep your head up. You are bold, you are strong and you are beautiful, and you are gonna shine no matter what.

We here at the web team thank Francisca for her time in the House, and wish her all the best in the future. Twale!
