Frank's Lady Love Speaks to Us

Frank speaks about his fiancée, Edna Okagbare, so often you could be forgiven for thinking she is actually a Housemate! We grabbed the opportunity to speak to this wonderful lady – and found out a couple of new things about Frank that we just had to share with you! We started off asking Edna if she watched Big Brother Nigeria. She told us that she doesn’t have DStv at home, but watches it at a friend’s house whenever she can. Edna never misses a Sunday Eviction Show! She has only positive things to say about BBN and the impact it has had on Nigeria. According to Edna, the show has improved the lives of many families and has made a celebrity out of Ichemeta.

Edna was ecstatic when she heard that Frank had been invited to enter the Big Brother Nigeria House. She told us that he had been praying for something like that to happen, and that when it did, he was over the moon! We asked Edna how she thought Frank was doing, and she said that he was doing great, flowing with the other Housemates in true Frank style. Now that evictions are on the go, Frank is just warming up. He’s a people magnet, says Edna: “Frank just wants to make people laugh and dance.” Tell us about it! Has she learnt anything new about Frank after watching him on the small screen? Edna answers that the Frank she sees on TV is the Frank she knows and loves.

We quiz Ms Okagbare on what she thinks Frank’s strategy is. She tells us that he is playing the game by getting along with everybody. He tries hard not to make enemies out of people – unlike some females in the House, as Edna puts it. We asked her to tell us what advice she would give him if she could. “Just be yourself,” she says. “Keep on being loving and good and genuine.” We asked Edna if there is there anything that Frank is holding back and she says absolutely not, adding that with him doing so well his chances of winning are high.

We change tack and ask Edna to share with us how their relationship started… She told us that they met in a drumming group, and started out as friends. After eight months he asked her out on a date, and they’ve been together for eight years now! Who can forget Frank’s romantic proposal to Edna in the Diary Room?

Edna definitely approves of Frank’s chosen career as actor, saying that he excels at the craft. We ask Edna to confirm that the couple has abstained from sex for eight years, and she does. We feel a bit guilty about prying so personally, but Edna just says that they have their reasons and that things will change after they exchange marriage vows.

Big Brother Nigeria Online asked Edna to take us back to the time when Frank first told her he was going into the House for three months. “I was like ‘What is this?’” I was happy because he was getting the opportunity, but I knew that I would miss him. We do lots of things together, except when he is out of the country, but then at least he calls. So I cried, but I was happy,” she told us.

Finally, we had to ask Frank’s better half what she thinks of him fooling around with other girls in the House. This is what she had to say: “It is actually a game. He is just playing around to make friends. I know what he can do. I told him to go in there and not hold anything back. He is a very friendly person, and we have troubles in our group [with women reading too much into a situation]. He makes friends of the ladies more than the guys. I see him with Joan and I think ‘aah!’, but even if Joan has anything [feels anything for him] he will not want to do anything bad. He likes Ify so much, they have chemistry, but nothing bad will happen. He is a normal guy, but I know what he has gone in there to do, of course he is not going to do anything wrong. Sometimes I am like ‘ahh, Frank!’, but it is just a game, nothing is happening.”

And that concludes our chat with Edna Okagbare. If anyone knows the lowdown on Frank, it is this loving and supportive lady! When he leaves the House, he’ll be lucky to walk right back into her loving arms.
