We've Come a Long Way, Baby

Wow! What a ride we’ve had! Let’s go on a trip down memory lane, starting with the launch of Big Brother on March 5th, and the arrival of the first 12 Housemates...

There was wordsmith Yinka, hinting at his first novel, and stylish Ify in her black cocktail dress. Ebuka, the face-man, proudly held the staff of the high chief before he got in, and then there was gorgeous Francisca’s grand-slam entrance (remember Ify’s plethora of compliments about her appearance?) Flyboy Joseph had us braced for take-off, and up next was lovely Maureen, who lamented missing the birth of her nephew. But Big Brother saved the day and showed her (and us) a DVD of it!

Then there was loverboy Chinedu, confiding that his reason for entering was for the “girls and money” – he may not have gotten the money but he certainly had his share of (a) girl! Ichemeta's desire to become famous on day one has reached fruition – mission accomplished – and Gideon, as fine-looking then as he is now, promised us plenty of intrigue. He certainly delivered – who can forget the kisses with Maureen you did and didn't see?

We saw, on day one, level-headed Joan giving a shout-out to her daughter, and dancing man Frank promising us more words per minute than a UN translator! Beautiful Helen told us her baking skills were sure to come in handy, and they sure did.

Of course, the arrival of Katung and Sandra soon afterwards turned everything topsy-turvy!

91 days ago sure feels like yesterday. But any grand entrance comes with a grand exit, and all eyes will be on the BBN doors to see who walks away with the prize. Keep watching and voting!
